The Scrabble Ride!
Come join us for a Scrabble Bike Ride!
Meeting at 1401 N Alameda (Corner of Alameda and Ethel) @ 6:00. Enter through the backyard on the side (look for the glow-sticks).
Ride starts @ 7:00…Tiles will be presented at the start/finish of the ride and at each stop.

There is a $5 entry for the event and we will be having a backyard party with beer( 21+) and water pre/post ride.
Trophies, which were donated by Cruces Trophy (thanks guys!!!) will be presented for the top 3 words!
CYCLISTS AND NON-CYCLISTS WELCOME!
We are also proud to host the debut performance of Bourbon Legend, who will be playing a live set after the ride and Scrabble games conclude.
ALL PROCEEDS TO BE DONATED TO NMSU ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS!!!

Toys for Tots Ride a Grand Success!
Over 100 riders head North on Mesilla St.
A big thanks to all those cyclists that made it out on December 12th, 2010 for the Toys for Tots Bicycle Ride! Four large boxes full of toys were collected and a lot of smiles were had. Hats off to Zia Velo for organizing such an event in only THREE DAYS, I know everyone is already looking forward to next year!

MVBC Lights up the Holidays!

After the recent death of Ricardo Duarte, the Mesilla Valley Bike Coalition held a fundraiser to purchase bicycle lights for the Community of Hope in Las Cruces. This past Saturday, coalition members were on hand distributing lights to those in need. Hopefully this will become an annual event and minimize the possibilities of another tragic incident from occurring. We to go MVBC!

Toys for Tots Ride
Join us this Sunday, December 11, 2010 for a fun Toy Ride(drive). The ride will meet at Milagro Coffee at 11am (riding off at noon) and end at High Desert. Please bring a toy suitable for a child between the age of 4 and 9, and your helmet!
Tour de Las Cruces
Last minute info!: 5th annual Tour de Las Cruces is THIS Sunday
Begins at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at MountainView Regional Medical Office Building at 4351 E. Lohman. Check-in and registration starts at 7 a.m. Two routes offered: 25 or 62 miles (mainly flat with some rollers). Preregistration: $35 (includes lunch, t-shirt if received by Oct. 15 and water bottle). Day of event fee: $30 (no t-shirt)

What is Denver Bike Sharing?
Denver Bike Sharing is a Colorado charitable, non-profit corporation that has been organized and will operate to promote health, quality of life and preservation of the environment in Denver. Denver Bike Sharing is a 501©3.
Charity Poker Run
A close friend on mine is part of another kind of two-wheeled club, and they have called upon our community to help out. He’s organizing a charity benefit run for Eddie Martinez, a member that is battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia and unfortunately chemotherapy has been ineffective.
It will be on February 28 @ 10:30am at Barnett Harley-Davidson with the last stop being Las Cruces Motorsports. The cost is $10 per person. They are excited at the possibility of including the entire two-wheeled community.
Two words… BEER and PRIZES!
